The Classics – Meteor Man

In the year 1993, we were witnessed to one of the greatest super hero movies of our generation. Forget Spiderman 2, Dark Knight, Iron Man and X-Men 2. 17 years ago Robert Townsend brought to you this super hero tale that was so powerful and uplifting, you should all be ashamed that you had forgotten about it!
I am of course talking about…
Classic!
Ok, ok, Classic Garbage. Check out who was in this movie though…
Robert Townsend, Eddie Griffin, James Earl Jones, Don Cheadle, Bill Cosby, Another Bad Creation (Ieasha, you were a girl I never had…), Big Daddy Kane, Sinbad, Luther Vandross, Tommy “Tiny” Lister (from Friday and also from the Main Event of Summerslam 1989 with Lister and Randy Savage taking on Hogan and Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake), Naughty by Nature, Cypress Hill and John Witherspoon.
Quite the impressive cast right there. And trust me, much more impressive then what this movie deserved.
But if you like the type of movie where a superhero is born from getting hit by a piece of meteor, and then proceeds to shut down crack houses in the ghetto and does the unthinkable and unites the Crips, Bloods and the Cops…..well this is your movie.
